Who will win each group of the 2022-23 Champions League? See our Champions League group odds.

It’s the opening day of the UEFA Champions League with Chelsea vs Dinamo Zagreb opening up the group stage. Last year, Real Madrid lifted the trophy after a 1-0 win over Liverpool in the finals. It was Real’s 14th title and first in four years.

Los Blancos will hope to defend their European crown and step 1 is to exit the group stage. Drawn in Group F, Real is the favorite to top their group with odds at -600 according to sportsbook BetOnline Sportsbook.

Champions League Group C Odds: Group Of Death

Bayern Munich is favored here at -180 but based on how the season has begun, I don’t believe they should be. The German powerhouse smartly replaces Robert Lewandowski with Sadio Mane. The Senegalese forward already has three goals on the year, pushing Bayern to a 3-2-0 record and third in the Bundesliga table, one point off the lead.

How Barcelona isn’t the favorite is a surprise. Of course, there were questions about the Blaugrana due to their financial issues, but they’ve hit the ground running on the Liga season with a 3-1-0 record while scoring 11 goals and only allowing a single goal against. Former Munich striker Lewandowski has been as advertised, scoring five goals through Barca’s opening four games. Barca is two points back of Real Madrid early in the season. It seems early concerns that Barcelona might take a step back were unfounded.

A $100 winning bet on Barcelona to top Group C would net you a $250 profit.

Champions League Group E Odds: Two-Team Battle

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has made his return to England. The former Arsenal man had an incredibly productive time in England, scoring 115 times in 128 games. While Auba is known as a player who had a difficult time conforming to what Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta wanted, Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel knows how to work with Aubameyang. The two worked together at Dortmund for two seasons where Aubameyang put up 56 goals in 63 matches.

The deadline acquisition was exactly what Chelsea needed and gives them a big boost as they look to push deeper into the competition than last season when they were booted out by Real Madrid in the quarterfinals.

The only club that could stand in Chelsea’s way in Group E is Italian side AC Milan. The seven-time Champions League winner has started the Serie A season going 3-2-0 after winning the Italian league in 2021-22.

Milan had a dismal 2021-22 Champions League campaign, going 1-1-4 and bottoming out in a group that featured Liverpool, Atletico Madrid and Porto. In 2022-23, Milan faces a much weaker group. They should at least qualify out.

But if Chelsea struggles like they’ve done to begin the Premier League season, Stefano Pioli’s men could take the group. And at +350, you could make a nice $350 profit on a $100 winning bet.

Champions League Group B Odds: Tight Group

This is the toughest group to call in the Champions League. Atletico has the lowest odds for a favorite among the eight groups at -110. Typically a strong side in this competition, they haven’t really begun life in 2022-23 on the right foot. They sit seventh in the Liga standings with a 2-1-1 record.

Leverkusen is worse, starting the 2022-23 Bundesliga campaign with a 1-0-4 record and a -3 goal differential. The two favorites in the group are just not performing well to start the year.

For third-ranked side Porto, Brazilian youngster Evanilson seems to be taking over for Darwin Nunez well, scoring twice in five games so far. Porto, which finished third in a tough Group B in 2021-22, has opened the season with a 4-0-1 record. They’ll look at this group as one they can at least qualify out of. The key will be to be as opportunistic as possible.

At +300, Porto has better odds to win their group than AC Milan does in Group E. A $100 bet on the Portuguese side to pull off an upset would net a nice $300 profit.
