Las Vegas Expert Picks: NCAAF Week 14, NFL Week 13

Las Vegas Expert Picks: NCAAF Week 14, NFL Week 13

Vegas veteran Benjamin Eckstein, author of America’s Line, brings three decades of experience to make weekly picks in his “Ecks & Bacon” column.

LAS VEGAS — Not interested in the college football game tonight, or any of the hoops, so we’ll just take a pass.

But would like to advise you that figure skating icon Tonya Harding could be selling off some of her stuff online. Not sure what all is for sale, except a blue 1997 Dodge 1500 4x4 Extended Cab. They list the truck at $10,000, which sounds kinda high for a ’97 Dodge.

Here’s a note from the website:

Hi, and welcome to my Sale Items page. I will be displaying items that I currently have for sale here. When an item has been sold, it will be removed. If a sale is pending, I will mark the Sale-Status as Pending, rather than Available. If you would like to purchase a specific item, or have questions, please send an email to...(not gonna put in the email, but if you wanna talk shop with Tonya, you can hit my email, ben@americasline.com, and I’ll pass it along). Please note that all sales are final, with no returns. Payment methods and shipping can be discussed.

            Thank you for looking!

So, the only question I have is, hey Tonya, do you take Venmo or Bitcoin???

NCAAF Three-Team Teaser Pick

The train to teaser city cashed another Sportsbook last week, so it’s CHOO-CHOO BAABBBEEE for a 10-point three-team beauty. Start with a battle of the perfectos, and take BYU down from -10 to pick’em against Coastal Carolina.

Then grab Wisconsin and drop the Badgers from -14 to -4 points over Indiana. Finish with Buffalo and drop the Bulls from -11 to -1 point against Ohio U.

NFL Pick

Flying out west and gonna grab the Seahawks -10 points over the Giants. Colt McCoy. If the name sounds familiar, you’re right. The “Real” McCoy has been around since 2010, starting with the Browns (2010-12), then one year with the 49ers (2013), five with Washington (2014-19) and now the New York Giants.

If you’re wondering why McCoy has bounced around, maybe his career 7-21 record is the reason. Maybe it’s his 29 TDs against 27 INTs. Or, maybe, because he’s just NOT the “Real” McCoy. He takes over at QB for the NYG after Daniel Jones went down with a hamstring injury.

And now Colt has to look across the field and see what an MVP candidate looks like. We say candidate because it looks like that kid from Kaycee, what’s his name, might be the Sportsbook. However, Russell Wilson has been enormous, with 33 TDs (No. 2 behind Mahomes), 3,216 yards (No. 3) and No. 1 in passing percentage at 70.7. He has a monster at WR, D.K. Metcalf, who leads the NFL with 1,039 receiving yards. Add it all up and there’s only one thing left to say. This IS my BEST BET, BAABBEEE!!!

And while we’re talking Sunday, how about another 10-point three-team teaser. Kick it off with Cleveland and bump the Browns up from +5.5 to +15.5 points against the Titans. Grab those Seahawks and drop Seattle from -10 to a pick’em against the NY Giants. Close up shop with the Bills on Monday night, and plump Buffalo up from +1 to +11 points against the 49ers.
