MLB Home Run Props May 22

MLB Home Run Props For May 22: Lowe To Go Long

Another day, another chance for some MLB home run prop winners.

I'm not banking on any big names today, looking to specific matchups for some value homer props on Wednesday.

I've got a pair of homer picks for tonight's games, so follow along for my two home run prop bets for May 22nd:

Pick 1: Josh Lowe To Homer (+600)

Red Sox vs Rays Matchup Preview - Game Time: 6:50 pm ET

Josh Lowe has Red Sox starter Brayan Bello's number. In 14 career at-bats against Bello, Lowe has seven hits, one homer, and three extra-base knocks. That's good for a 1.357 OPS. Bello has also allowed seven runs across his last two starts. So, with Bello struggling I like another big day out of Lowe.

We really need Lowe to get this homer against the Red Sox's starter. Boston's bullpen has been great this year, allowing just a 3.41 ERA against (seventh-lowest in MLB).

Pick 2: Gavin Sheets To Homer (+500)

White Sox vs Blue Jays Matchup Preview - Game Time: 7:45 pm ET

Gavin Sheets does one thing and one thing only: hit right-handed pitching.

All three of his homers this season came against right-handers, with a .452 slug and .830 OPS against the platoon. For his career, all 39 of Sheets' homers have come against righties and his OPS is .400 (you read that right) points higher vs RHP.

Tonight, Sheets plays a Jays starter who's pretty homer prone. Chris Bassitt has allowed seven homers in nine starts this year, and let up 28 homers all of last season. Sheets is the kind of guy you really have to pick your spots for to succeed, and Bassitt is in the perfect spot to do so.

If you're buying a Sheets homer, I don't hate the bet parlayed with the White Sox runline (+1.5). Chicago his 3-0 on the runline in games where Sheets has homered this season.
