YRFI/NRFI Picks For Today: Nats-Mariners Is No Run Olympics

We're back with some Friday YRFI/NRFI picks (Yes/No Run First Inning). You're crazy to wait a full game for MLB prop bets to hit. Instead, you're better off scrolling this page and locking in your Y/NRFI picks.

Here are my two Y/NRFI bets for Friday, May 24:

Pick 1: Mariners vs Nationals: No Run First Inning (-120)

Matchup Preview - Game Time: 6:45 pm ET

This is literal heaven for NRFI bettors. Places, people! It's happening! The matchup we've waited all year for: Mariners vs Nationals. These are baseball's two most reliable NRFI clubs, and I'll gladly take advantage.

The Nats have been elite at not scoring all season, hence their MLB-best 33-15 NRFI record. The M's aren't far behind at 33-18 NRFI. These two records would normally be enough to place a bet — but wait! There's more.

George Kirby, a known good pitcher, is 7-3 NRFI this year with Seattle, while Mackenzie Gore, god bless him, is 9-0 NRFI this year with the Nats. Everything in Friday's game points toward a scoreless first.

Pick 2: Dodgers vs Reds: No Run First Inning (+110)

Matchup Preview - Game Time: 7:10 pm ET

I'm not sure if the oddsmakers made a mistake, but you've got to hit this NRFI line at +110. Sure the Dodgers have the most explosive top three in baseball, and the Reds are, well, the Reds, but that doesn't matter here.

All Cincy pitcher Graham Ashcraft has to do is set the Dodgers down in the first. That's it. A measly three outs. And the righty's been good in the first this year, rocking a 7-2 NRFI record. That bodes pretty damn well for our plus-money bet.

Meanwhile, the Reds can't hit a lick this year, so L.A. starter James Paxton should have a breezy first and add to his 7-1 NRFI slate.
