White Sox Braves Same Game Parlay

MLB Same-Game Parlay April 2: White Sox vs Braves

The baseball season is in full churn now, so let's keep things interesting with an MLB same-same parlay.

For Tuesday, April 2nd, I'm honing in on the White Sox vs Braves matchup, with first pitch scheduled for 7:40 p.m. ET at Guaranteed Rate Field. It may seem like a lopsided matchup in favor of Atlanta, but I've got a different plan in mind for my same-game parlay:

Braves vs White Sox Same-Game Parlay: April 2

The Game: Braves vs White Sox at 7:40 p.m. ET

BetOdds
Chicago White Sox Moneyline+184
White Sox/Braves UNDER 9 Runs-112
Nicky Lopez To Get A Hit-170
Overall+495

Same-Game Parlay Pick No. 1: White Sox Moneyline

The White Sox are 0-4, and that might be the least unexpected thing that's happened so far this MLB season. But, I think they've at least got a shot at a win tonight — more than this line suggests, at least. They've played mainly tight contests, so far, losing three of their four games by just a single run. So, there's at least hope.

And, the Sox have Opening Day starter Garrett Crochet back on the mound, who pitched six innings of one-run ball with eight strikeouts back on the first day of the season. If Crochet brings that stuff tonight, the Sox have a shot.

Same-Game Parlay Pick No. 2: Braves/White Sox UNDER 9

I just laid out why I think Crochet is going to give the White Sox a chance at an upset here, but I think Atlanta starter Reynaldo Lopez should have some luck, too, helping us get to the under.

After transitioning back to a starter, Lopez posted a 2.16 ERA in five spring training outings, winning a job in Atlanta's loaded rotation. He should carry most of that success into the season, and faces a good lineup to do it against. Lopez has faced five members of the White Sox current lineup and has held them to a collective .599 OPS - nasty stuff.

Same-Game Parlay Pick No. 3: Nicky Lopez To Get A hit

Nicky Lopez is only hitting .111 so far this season, but I still believe in him to get a hit tonight. The White Sox infielder is one of the best pure contact hitters in baseball, hitting over .300 back in 2021. He also flashed that contact in spring, hitting .293 across 49 plate appearances. He's not going to smack a homer, but he's good for at least a single.

Lopez has also faced Braves pitcher Reynaldo Lopez the most of any White Sox batter, notching three hits and two walks in 14 at-bats.
