Golden State Warriors Vs. Philadelphia 76ers

The Game: Golden State Warriors vs. Philadelphia 76ers, 7:30 p.m. ET

TeamSpreadMoneyTotal
Golden State Warriors-2.5 (-108)-136O 237.5 (-110)
Philadelphia 76ers+2.5 (-112)+116U 237.5 (-110)

Pick: Golden State Warriors ATS -2.5

The Philadelphia 76ers sans the services of now former Most Valuable Player candidate Joel Embiid are 2-7 over their last nine games and 4-11 on the season. They're also allowing 127.7 points per 100 possessions (28th overall) over the last three games since Embiid went down with a meniscus injury in his left knee.

Such feeble defense won't put up much resistance against a Golden State Warriors offense scoring 121.3 points per 100 possessions (6th) over their last seven games. Stephen Curry is averaging 35.3 points during that stretch, which is the second-most in the Association behind Luka Doncic.

Golden State has covered the spread on five occasions over its last seven outings, as opposed to the Sixers who are just 1-5 ATS in six games. Considering Philadelphia's current situation, the Warriors being 2.5-point favorites should be a layup.

Toronto Raptors Vs. Charlotte Hornets

The Game: Toronto Raptors vs. Charlotte Hornets, 7 p.m. ET

TeamSpreadMoneyTotal
Toronto Raptors-7 (-110)-260O 225.5 (-110)
Charlotte Hornets+7 (-110)+220U 225.5 (-110)

Pick: Toronto Raptors ML

The Charlotte Hornets defeated the Toronto Raptors at the Spectrum Center on Dec. 8, which should provide some semblance of confidence that their eight-game losing streak has a chance of ending on Wednesday.

Toronto shouldn't be in the business of winning basketball games, if only to preserve its first-round pick which currently belongs to the San Antonio Spurs but is top-six protected. Like AEW wrestler Sting, the only thing sure about the Raptors is that nothing's for sure, which makes them a risky bet more often than not.

The Hornets are so incredibly vulnerable and undermanned, though, that a Raptors side getting bodies back like Jakob Poeltl in the middle and RJ Barrett for some added scoring should keep keep Charlotte in a state of misery.

New Orleans Pelicans Vs. Los Angeles Clippers

The Game: New Orleans Pelicans vs. Los Angeles Clippers, 10 p.m. ET

TeamSpreadMoneyTotal
New Orleans Pelicans+7 (-110)+235O 229.5 (-110)
Los Angeles Clippers-7 (-110)-290U 229.5 (-110)

Pick: UNDER 229.5 Total Points

The total has gone UNDER the 229.5-point mark set for Wednesday in the first two meetings of the season (206 and 222) between the New Orleans Pelicans and the Los Angeles Clippers.

To be fair, Los Angeles is averaging 128.3 points over its last four games, which is the second-most overall. The Pelicans rank eighth in that department during that span, so it's absolutely possible these two sides may explode offensively at Crypto.com Arena.

History suggests otherwise, though. Factoring in how the total has gone UNDER in four of the Pelicans' last six games and five of the Clippers' last seven, betting UNDER is the safer approach here.
