Dallas Mavericks Vs. Miami Heat

Team | Spread | Money | Total |
---|---|---|---|
Dallas Mavericks | -5 (-108) | -190 | O 215.5 (-110) |
Miami Heat | +5 (-112) | +162 | U 215.5 (-110) |
Pick: Dallas Mavericks ATS -5
The Miami Heat needed two overtime periods to overcome the Atlanta Hawks on Tuesday, which is unfortunate when going against a Dallas Mavericks team riding a four-game winning streak SU with just two losses since March 7 the next day.
Dallas is a staggering 6-0 SU and 5-1 against the spread when on the road and favored by five points or more. Miami, meanwhile, has dropped all four of its games when an underdog of at least five points at the Kaseya Center and covered just a single time.
Tyler Herro looks like his old self in the three games he's played for the Heat following injury, but he played 48 minutes last night and will now stand across from Kyrie Irving and Luka Doncic. Dallas defeated Miami by six points on March 7, and doing so again would cover the five-point spread set by oddsmakers.
Orlando Magic Vs. Milwaukee Bucks
Matchup Page: Orlando Magic vs. Milwaukee Bucks, 8 p.m. ET
Team | Spread | Money | Total |
---|---|---|---|
Orlando Magic | -1 (-108) | -108 | O 215.5 (-110) |
Milwaukee Bucks | +1 (-112) | -108 | U 215.5 (-110) |
Pick: Orlando Magic ML
The Milwaukee Bucks will be without Giannis Antetokounmpo after the superstar forward injured his calf in a win over the Boston Celtics on Tuesday. They've dropped each of their last two games without him in the lineup, including an upset loss to the 25-win Toronto Raptors at home on April 5.
We failed on our moneyline pick of the Orlando Magic over the Houston Rockets on Tuesday, but the Antetokounmpo injury provides some optimism in the Magic bouncing back on the road here.
They've been competitive in both meetings with Milwaukee this season, beating the Bucks by 15 points on Nov. 11 and losing by only four points just over a month later. Orlando has also won three of its last four games on no rest, the last two of which were by double-digit margins of victory.
Phoenix Suns Vs. Los Angeles Clippers
Matchup Page: Phoenix Suns vs. Los Angeles Clippers, 10:30 p.m. ET
Team | Spread | Money | Total |
---|---|---|---|
Phoenix Suns | -4 (-110) | -176 | O 226.5 (-110) |
Los Angeles Clippers | +4 (-110) | +148 | U 226.5 (-110) |
Pick: UNDER 226.5 Total Points
Perhaps Tuesday's low total of 197 points in a surprising 105-92 win for the Los Angeles Clippers over the Phoenix Suns was attributed to a 37-point lead they held in the first quarter alone.
It's highly unlikely Phoenix will stink the bed to the degree it did on its home floor, but with the two sides meeting for the second time in as many nights, a sudden outburst in offense could be difficult to come by following a demoralizing defeat less than 24 hours prior to the same team.
The Suns have now hit the UNDER in four of their last five games and are averaging just 108 points during that span, ranking 20th overall in the Association. Los Angeles isn't that much better at 110.6 points per game (16th), and should the two teams hover around those averages on Wednesday, they'd fail to reach the OVER on 226.5 points.
Minnesota Timberwolves vs Denver Nuggets
Matchup Page: Minnesota Timberwolves vs Denver Nuggets, 10:10 p.m. ET
Team | Spread | Money | Total |
---|---|---|---|
Minnesota Timberwolves | +6.5 (-110) | +220 | O 211.5 (-110) |
Denver Nuggets | -6.5 (-110) | -270 | U 211.5 (-110) |
Pick: Minnesota Timberwolves +6.5
The top two teams in the Western Conference battle for supremacy in Denver on Wednesday night.
Behind the wondrous skills of Anthony Edwards, the T-Wolves have won eight of their last 10 games to tighten the race for the conference's top seed. Minnesota has covered in each of their last three contests when underdogs of five or more points. They've also covered in all three matchups with the Nuggets this season, including a 115-112 loss against Denver as 7.5-point dogs just last month.
Ant went ballistic on Tuesday night, blasting the Wizards for a career high 51 points. He's averaged nearly 29 points, 5.4 assists and 4.6 rebounds this month, and I think he takes it to the Nuggets tonight.
