Gafford has exploded onto the scene for the Mavs. The NBA trade deadline acquisition looks more like a shrewd pickup with each passing contest. He's given Dallas the size and athleticism in the middle they so desperately needed.
The Arkansas product has gone over this line in eight-straight playoff contests, including hitting 5-of-9 shots for 10 points in Game 1. He's shooting over 65% from the field and is the perfect man to play the "dunker" spot and profit from all the attention paid to Luka Doncic and Kyrie Irving.
