Sportsbook Odds Analysis

The Rams opened as 5.5-point home favorites and have moved up slightly to Los Angeles -6. The total has seen lots of movement early in the week after Sportsbook at 53.5 points but has now settled in at 54.5 points. The UNDER is 4-2 in the Rams’ last six games against the Cardinals.

Arizona News & Notes

Kyler Murray completed 28 of 34 pass attempts for 316 passing yards in Sunday’s win over the Jacksonville Jaguars. A.J. Green (112) and Christian Kirk (104) both collected over 100 receiving yards as well. The Cardinals are averaging 34.3 points per game; Sunday’s 31 points was actually the team’s lowest output of the season thus far.

It will be interesting to see how Murray fares against the Rams this season. In four career games against Los Angeles, Murray has averaged only 187 passing yards and 11.5 rushing yards with a total of five touchdown passes and four interceptions. The Cardinals are 0-4 SU and 0-3-1 ATS in those games, losing by an average of 13.8 points.

Los Angeles News & Notes

Los Angeles looked solid in its 34-14 win over the Chicago Bears and its 27-24 win over the Indianapolis Colts. But snapping the Tampa Bay Buccaneers’ 10-0 SU and 7-3 ATS winning streak with a 34-24 win on Sunday felt like a statement that this year’s Rams team could be a legitimate contender.

What a difference it makes having Matthew Stafford under center instead of Jared Goff. Stafford completed 71.1 percent of his passes for 343 passing yards and four touchdown passes in Sunday’s win. He now has 942 passing yards and nine scoring strikes with only one interception through his first three games with the Rams.

Cooper Kupp continues to be a must-play in all fantasy formats, averaging 122.3 receiving yards per game with five touchdowns so far in 2021.

Staff Betting Pick: Los Angeles -6

The Rams just have Arizona’s number. Perhaps this will be the game that Murray figures things out and is able to keep things close in a shootout, but at home we’ve got to roll with Los Angeles in this spot.
