Sportsbook Odds Analysis

The total has already moved up two points while the point spread has dropped a half-point in favor of Arizona at Sportsbook. But New York may be getting healthier with the potential return of tight end Evan Engram (knee) and running back Saquon Barkley (ankle).

Arizona News & Notes

The Cardinals have won their last two games by a combined four points, but wins are wins, and they have somehow found a way to end up victorious behind the continued growth of rookie quarterback Kyler Murray.

The reigning Heisman Trophy Sportsbook is back in the conversation to win Offensive Rookie of the Year after throwing for 340 passing yards and three touchdowns with no interceptions against the Falcons. Murray has played poised on the road too, helping the team cover the spread twice in two games.

It is concerning that the Arizona defense allowed Atlanta to score 17 unanswered points to blow a 27-10 lead. But the Cardinals are facing a similar young team in the Giants, who could turn this into a shootout.

New York News & Notes

New York will have some extra rest following a 35-14 loss to the unbeaten New England Patriots as a 16.5-point road underdog in the Week 6 Thursday Night Football game. Rookie quarterback Daniel Jones was no match for New England’s future Hall of Famer, Tom Brady, but it served as a good learning experience for him nonetheless.

Jones threw three interceptions in the defeat, as the Patriots took advantage of four turnovers by the Giants overall to cover the big spread with two defensive/special teams touchdowns. They should have more offensive weapons for him, though, in this spot back at home, so make sure to monitor the injury report to find out if Engram and/or Barkley will be able to suit up this week.

Betting Pick: OVER 49.5

It is hard to believe much defense will be played in this game, although there is always the possibility of turnovers with two rookie quarterbacks involved like Murray and Jones. However, turnovers also can lead to points, and the OVER is 3-1 in Arizona’s last four games.
