The Los Angeles Rams (7-4 SU, 4-7 ATS) are 4-1 SU and 5-0 ATS in their last five games against the Jacksonville Jaguars (2-9, 4-7). The Rams will try to snap a three-game losing streak as heavy favorites at home against the Jaguars on Sunday afternoon.
Sportsbook Odds Analysis
The Rams opened as 12-point favorites and have moved up slightly to Los Angeles -13. The total has remained steady since Sportsbook earlier in the week at 48 points. The UNDER is 10-3 in Los Angeles’s last 13 home games.
Jacksonville News & Notes
Jacksonville’s punchless offense once again failed to get anything significant going in last Sunday’s 21-14 loss at home to the Atlanta Falcons. Trevor Lawrence did break a streak of three straight games with under 200 yards passing and no touchdown passes, but his performance was hardly anything to get excited about as he completed only 23 of 42 pass attempts for 228 yards, one touchdown and one interception.
The Jaguars have scored only 11.4 points per game over their current 1-4 SU and 2-3 ATS skid. Jacksonville’s 15.7 points per game rank second-worst in the NFL ahead of only the Houston Texans’ 14.9 points per game. Lawrence has been quite ineffective in his rookie campaign, though the blame can’t fall entirely on him as he doesn’t have much talent around him to work with.

Los Angeles News & Notes
The Rams offense finally showed some signs of life in last Sunday’s matchup against the Green Bay Packers, but it wasn’t enough in a 36-28 road loss. Matthew Stafford finished the day going 21-for-38 with 302 passing yards, three touchdown passes and an interception that was returned for a touchdown. Cooper Kupp led the receiving corps with seven catches and 96 yards.
Los Angeles has now failed to cover the spread in each of its last five games and is 0-3 SU and ATS over its last three. After having allowed only 17.3 points per game over a 4-0 SU stretch prior to this recent slump, the Rams have allowed 31.7 points per game over their last three. A matchup against the lowly Jaguars could be just what the doctor ordered to get things back on track.
How Jacksonville Will Cover
Jacksonville’s defense has held opponents to 23 points or less in four of the team’s last six games. A similar performance against the Rams would give the offense a low bar to meet with the Jaguars getting 13 points of help against the spread in this one.
How Los Angeles Will Cover
Los Angeles has gone from what appeared to be a legitimate Super Bowl contender to a quite questionable one in recent weeks. Still, there is enough elite talent on both sides of the ball here to pick up a blowout win against one of the league’s worst teams at home with even a decent all-around effort.
