Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson rolls out to pass against the New England Patriots during an NFL football game, Sunday, Nov. 15, 2020, in Foxborough, Mass.

Ravens Look to Avoid Consecutive Losses For First Time in More Than a Year

The Baltimore Ravens (6-3) will try to rebound from a rough road loss to the New England Patriots back home when they host the Tennessee Titans (6-3) as solid favorites at sportsbooks monitored by Odds Shark. The Ravens fell to the Patriots 23-17 as 7-point favorites on Sunday Night Football, and they have not lost back-to-back games since September 2019. The Titans are coming off a 34-17 home loss to the Indianapolis Colts as 1-point underdogs in the Week 10 Thursday Night Football matchup.

Sportsbook Odds Analysis

The point spread has dropped to Baltimore -6 at some sportsbooks following the team’s poor performance on SNF. Meanwhile, the total has already gone up 2 points in early betting action to 49, with the Ravens not looking so dominant on either side of the ball lately. While they did blank the Indianapolis Colts in the second half of their 24-10 road win two weeks ago, they have not put together a dominant all-around effort for 60 minutes since a 27-3 victory against the Cincinnati Bengals back in Week 5. Even then, the offense did not need to do much, and Tennessee is a much better team than Cincinnati right now.

Tennessee News & Notes

The Titans have lost three of their last four games since a 5-0 start, with running back Derrick Henry averaging just 89.5 yards on the ground during that stretch.

Henry’s production is the key to Tennessee’s offense, as it takes pressure off quarterback Ryan Tannehill and allows the team to run time off the clock. The Titans did get 103 yards from Henry on 19 carries in last week’s home loss to the Colts, but 20 of those yards came on one carry.

Their offense was really limited by the Indianapolis defense, and the same thing could happen here against a similar opponent. The good news for Tennessee is the team has a few extra days of preparation after playing on a Thursday, which means more time to rest and scout a Baltimore squad that is struggling a bit.

Baltimore News & Notes

It is entirely possible that the rest of the league has finally figured out the Ravens offensively, with reigning NFL MVP Lamar Jackson much more predictable under center.

Jackson’s passing has clearly not been on the same level as it was last year when he won MVP honors, as even he has been quoted as saying opposing defenses have been calling out their plays this season. That certainly seems to be the case, and oddsmakers may need to adjust their numbers on Baltimore significantly if the team loses yet again at home in this spot.

That said, the Titans are not a good defensive team, so the Ravens should be able to right the ship here and get the offense back on track. If Cincinnati and Indianapolis can score more than 30 points against Tennessee, then Baltimore definitely should too.

Betting Pick: Ravens -6

This is a huge revenge spot for the Ravens, who lost 28-12 to the Titans in the divisional round of last year’s playoffs. In that game, Henry rushed for 195 yards on 30 carries and really took it to Baltimore as the top seed. Early on this season, Tennessee looked like it was continuing the magic from that postseason run en route to an impressive 5-0 start. But the Titans have too many flaws at the moment as shown against the Colts and will not be able to cover the spread vs an angry opponent coming off a bad loss.
