OVER Trending as Titans Pay Visit to Reeling Vikings

Neither the Tennessee Titans nor the Minnesota Vikings have been a good ATS play through the first two weeks of the season – but the Titans are in much better shape in the standings as they visit the Vikings on Sunday. Tennessee (2-0 SU, 0-2 ATS) has opened with consecutive wins by a combined five points, while the Vikings (0-2 SU, 0-2 ATS) have been dismal defensively.

Both the spread and the total have seen significant movement since they dropped. The Vikings have gone from 3.5-point favorites to 2.5-point home underdogs, while the total has risen from 42.5 all the way to 47.

Tennessee News & Notes

Injuries have ravaged the NFL through the Sportsbook two weeks – and the Titans aren’t immune, having lost No. 1 receiver A.J. Brown to a bruised knee. His status is in doubt for this weekend, but the Titans didn’t really need him last week vs the Jaguars, as quarterback Ryan Tannehill racked up 239 passing yards and four scores, with two of those going to tight end Jonnu Smith.

Tannehill is worth both player prop and daily fantasy consideration in Week 3 as he takes on a Vikings secondary that has looked downright putrid so far. Minnesota is allowing the fourth-most passing yards per game in the NFL (283.5) with five TDs surrendered and just one interception. The pass rush has struggled as well, producing just two sacks through two games.

Minnesota News & Notes

The Vikings are already in trouble. Following up a 43-34 loss to Green Bay with an ugly 28-11 setback in Indianapolis has raised major concerns about Minnesota’s playoff hopes. After entering the season as a +140 option to win the NFC North, the Vikings are now down between +400 and +500 at the majority of sportsbooks and have done little to warrant action in their favor.

The passing game is in tatters, with quarterback Kirk Cousins having thrown for just 372 yards with two touchdowns and four interceptions through two games. If he can’t get things going Sunday, look for Minnesota to lean more on a run game that has been one of the few bright spots on the season, averaging a sensational 6.4 yards per carry on 40 attempts.

Betting Pick: OVER 47 (-110)

Both teams should be able to move the ball against the other, with the Titans enjoying a mismatch through the air and the Vikings ready to punish a Tennessee run defense allowing 136 yards per game.
