NHL goal in the first 10 minutes Odds & Picks: february 13
Of the NHL matchups tonight so here are the ones to bet on for a goal in the first 10 minutes.
anaheim ducks vs montreal canadiens goal in the first 9m 59s of period - YES (-165)
Definitely not two of the most notable defenses here as each is fresh off tough losses. Montreal let St. Louis slide seven goals past them while Anaheim coughed up five against Edmonton. The Canadiens allowed two goals in the opening 10 minutes while the Ducks managed to hold the Oiler's scoring until the second period.
When these two met in November, Montreal potted two behind John Gibson in the opening half of the first period. One thing about the Canadiens, either expect them on the board early or expect them to trail early.
columbus blue jackets vs Ottawa senators goal in the first 9m 59s of period - NO (+140)
In their last four, neither Columbus nor Ottawa has scored in the first 10 minutes. Have they both been scored on? Yes, obviously. I mean, these two sit side-by-side at the bottom of the defensive totem pole.
So, we've established each can let in goals. But, can either of them score, too? The Sens sure can. Ottawa averages a noble 3.38 GPG and though it usually isn't the first to get on the board, it will eventually find the groove. Still, it seems to take a while for the Sens to get the wheels moving so I'll take the UNDER.
vancouver canucks vs chicago blackhawks goal in the first 9m 59s of period - YES (-155)
Simply put, the NHL's best offense (3.68 GPG) should be able to score early against the worst team which is riding a six-game skid. But, hey Blackhawk fans, Bedard could be back next week so keep your chin up.
