NHL Same-Game Parlay Tonight: Panthers vs Rangers Game 2

With the NHL playoffs dwindling down, Michel Anderson and I will each be creating our own same-game parlay for the Eastern and Western Conference Finals meetings.

Choose your favorite or tail both. It's all up to you!

Be sure to check out our expert picks, too. Michel is up over seven units while I continue my string of bad luck. After all, I am a Habs fan.

Same-Game Parlay Leg 1: Panarin OVER 3.5 Shots (+124)

When coming off a loss at Madison Square Garden, Panarin has recorded four or more shots on four straight occasions. The Panthers' defense may be tough, allowing just eight goals in their last six outings, but the Bread Man has shown he can pepper some shots on them before this season.

In their three regular season matchups, Panarin hit the OVER on this prop in two of the three meetings, totaling 16 shots.

Same-Game Parlay Leg 2: Verhaeghe OVER 0.5 points (-180)

In the four times they've met this year, Verhaeghe has recorded at least one point in every meeting. The 28-year-old has also pocketed more points on the road (45) than at home (40) this season. Not to mention, he was a whopping +12 from the visitors bench compared to being +5 at Amerant Bank Arena.

After a dominant one-goal, one-assist effort in the series opener at MSG, there's no doubt Verhaeghe continues his streak.

Same-Game Parlay Leg 3: NO goal in the first 10 minutes -- 1st Period (+105)

The Rangers and Panthers like to keep things interesting. Aside from their last regular season meeting in March, no goal has been scored in the opening 10 minutes in three of the four head-to-heads this year.

Of the 23 accounted for this season, 43% were sniped in the second period. But at -150, the profit for a goal in the first half of the second period isn't enticing.

Bobrovsky (2.18GAA, .909SV%) and Shesterkin (2.37GAA, .926SV%) have both had whispers of being Conn Smythe contenders. One is fresh off a thrilling shutout while the other recorded a respectable .962SV% in Game 1. They're both not the easiest to beat.

Michel's Same-Game Parlay: Panthers vs Rangers

NHL Same-Game Parlay Tonight
Parlay LegsOdds
Rangers +1.5 Puckline-285
Fox OVER 1.5 SOG-135
Verhaeghe OVER 0.5 Pts-180
Parlay Odds+300

Same-Game Parlay Leg 1: Rangers +1.5 Puckline

The puckline has hit a whole heck of a lot in these playoffs. In 71 post-season games this year, the +1.5 puckline has hit 51 times, or 72%.

I get that it's not super valuable here at -285 but in terms of building a profitable parlay adding a leg that's hit more than 70% over a decent sample size is a good strategy to have. I've added it thinking I've already got a winning leg to begin the whole thing.

Same-Game Parlay Leg 2: Fox OVER 1.5 SOG

On the season, Adam Fox has averaged 1.9 shots on goal per game. In the playoffs, he's hit OVER 1.5 shots on net in his last four straight games. In 10 career games against the Panthers, Fox has 23 shots on net. An average of 2.3 shots per game. All of that data points to the OVER on Fox's shot prop hitting.

Now consider that Florida allows 9.5 shots on the net from defensemen per game. That's the third-highest rate in the league.

Fox hits his player prop. No doubt.

Same-Game Parlay Leg 3: Verhaeghe OVER 0.5 Points

Verhaeghe has points in eight of 12 playoff games this year and has nine points in 11 career games against the Rangers. But that includes his time with the Lightning. As a member of the Florida Panthers, Verhaeghe has four goals and five assists in nine career games against the Rangers.

Which, for all of us math nerds, is a point per game and enough to hit the OVER on tonight's prop.
