Joel Eriksson Ek featured in our NHL shots on goal for tonight

Shots On Goal Props Tonight: Eriksson Ek Earned A Night Off

The NHL has an abundance of player and game props to get your hands on. A popular, rather simple option is shots on goal. We don't need the pucks to go in (though that's a nice bonus), we just need them to wind up their stick and hit the net.

NHL Prop #1 - Alex Ovechkin OVER 3.5 Shots (+105)

NHL Prop #2 - Joel Eriksson Ek UNDER 3.5 Shots (-140)

NHL Prop #3 - Nathan MacKinnon OVER 4.5 Shots (-110)

NHL shots on goal odds: February 20

Who likes to shoot right now? With all the NHL matchups tonight, here are the guys we're leaning on to go OVER or UNDER their shots on goal prop.

alex ovechkin oVER 3.5 Shots (+105)

Despite being strangely lackluster this season, Ovechkin has finally found his groove this season as he continues the hunt to snap Gretzky's scoring record. The 38-year-old has sniped one goal in six of his last seven games, recording 26 shots in that span. In four of those seven meetings, Ovi has collected three shots. But, the Devils' defense lingers near the bottom of the standings. So, Ovi should be able to get some shots off tonight.

There's only one way he's going to break that record -- shooting. So, let 'em fly tonight.

Joel Eriksson Ek UNDER 3.5 Shots (-140)

Minnesota is all out of shots. I mean, a 10-7 win over Vancouver last night? I hope you took the OVER. There is no way the Wild isn't tired as they travel to Winnipeg. It only took Eriksson Ek four shots to record a hattrick, along with two others, yesterday. He has earned a day off.

The Swede has only hit OVER 3.5 shots twice in his last five outings. Now, he goes up against the Jets' top defense (2.29 GPG).

nathan macKinnon OVER 4.5 Shots (-110)

MacKinnon has been all over the net lately, sniping a whopping nine shots while hosting Arizona last night. He has hit the OVER on this prop in three straight games. Luckily, the Avs stay home while they welcome the Canucks, who again may be a bit fatigued from last night's events and travel.
