How To Bet Dos Anjos
RDA deserves consideration for the UFC Hall of Fame, but it's no secret that at 38 years old his sand timer is almost empty. But he's still a vivacious fighter and, based on his resume alone, he's a deserving favorite over Luque.
If I'm betting RDA in this fight, it'll be by decision (TBD) or a same-game parlay on dos Anjos + the OVER 3.5 rounds, for example. dos Anjos is innovative and still quick, but most of his gameplan Saturday ought to focus on establishing positions where Luque can't hit him.
Luque is much more dangerous than RDA due to his solid ground game and thunderous hands. That said, the 33-fight UFC veteran is slick and he could rack up points (and control time via takedowns) to secure a win.
How to bet Luque
Luque has more avenues to victory Saturday. Even at 38 years old, RDA's chin is strong ā he's only been stopped in four of 33 UFC fights. But "The Silent Assassin" is easy to bet on, as 13 of his 14 UFC wins have come inside the distance.
From a betting standpoint, that means if you like Luque, bet him inside the distance ā that's a wager I like this weekend. The Brazilian hits so, so hard, and he's well-versed in jiu-jitsu (he earned his black belt in 2021), which might not allow him to submit RDA, but it'll keep him alive on the mat.
If you fancy Luque, take him to win inside the distance.
Vicente Luque vs Rafael Dos Anjos Pick
I like Luque as a straight-up underdog at EVEN odds, but as I laid out, I'd rather back him to win inside the distance. That'll jack up the value and add a little flavor to your Saturday UFC viewing.
As an aside, I also like this fight to finish UNDER 3.5 rounds (-120).
