UFL week 9 Picks & Best bets

Home-field advantage doesn't exist this week, every road team is the favorite heading into kick-off. Below I break down my picks for Week 9 of the 2024 UFL season.

St. Louis vs Arlington: Battlehawks -3.0 (-110)

Now is the perfect chance for St. Louis (6-2 SU) to creep ahead of San Antonio (6-2 SU) in the XFL Conference just two weeks out from the playoffs.

The Brahmas have a daunting meeting with the undefeated Stallions. Meanwhile, the Battlehawks can easily defeat the league's worst team.

Despite Arlington shockingly recording the second-most 304.9 YPG, St. Louis allows the second-fewest yards per game (246.5). We've seen it all season, QB Luis Perez can toss the ball better than anyone (1,834 YDS). But, the Renegades can never finish the job.

This should be an easy dub for the Battlehawks and put them in a good position nearing the postseason.

birminhgam vs san antonio: Brahmas +8.5 (-110)

Despite the Stallions still trotting along with a spotless record, this spread is a tad too inflated for me. In its last two outings, Birmingham has won by a touchdown or less. Last week's 35-28 win over the lowly Roughnecks (1-7 SU) just proves the Stallions may have some empathy and don't want to stomp all over the competition.

San Antonio has just clinched its spot in the postseason after last week's 20-15 win over Arlington. As I just brought up, it's a close race in the XFL Conference. With the playoffs in sight, the Brahmas should have enough pep in their step to cover this.
