Chicago Sky+15.5 (-108)O 165 (-112)+900
NY Liberty-15.5 (-112)U 165 (-108)-1600

My Take: They're the queens of giant spreads yet the Liberty (4-0 SU, 1-3 ATS) have covered just once this season and it was the lone line below the double-digit mark.

The stats are a bit inflated considering Chicago (1-1 SU, 1-1 ATS) has played just two games, but the Sky are averaging 81 PPG compared to the Liberty's 88 PPG. Not a huge mark-up there. New York shoots a middling 30.9% from the perimeter which is significantly better than Chicago's 23.7% from just two outings. However, the Sky have recorded a league-leading 13 blocks this year so far.

I think oddsmakers continue to be a bit too generous to the Liberty.

Pick: Sky +15.5 (-108)

mystics vs mercury preview & pick
The Game: Washington mystics vs phoenix mercury, 10 PM ET

TeamSpreadTotalMoneyline
Washington Mystics+6.5 (-110)O 163 (-112)+230
Phoenix Mercury-6.5 (-110)U 163 (-108)-285

My Take: The Mercury (2-1 SU, 3-0 ATS) are not looking like the team that pocketed just nine wins last season. Phoenix, fresh off a major 10-point upset against Las Vegas, are looking like a threat the first few games of its season.

Kahleah Copper is topping the WNBA with an elite 31.3 PPG and also sits in the top five with a strong 52.4 3P% with11 three-pointers made.

Both of these benches sit in the top five for three-point percentage and share the two top spots for total three-pointers made. So while I expect a hefty scoreboard, momentum has to be thriving with the Mercury right now.

Pick: Mercury -6.5 (-110)
