However, in his lone start last year at Petco Park, he went 6.2 innings and only gave up two hits and one earned run.
- Joey Luchessi will toe the rubber for the Padres and its night and day when he pitches at home compared to the road. At home, he has a 2.70 ERA in nine starts and on the road, its 6.10 in six outings. In his most recent home start, he shut out the Brewers and only gave up three hits over seven innings.

This one is quite simple: the Cardinals stink! Their offense has been terrible for the last month and I’m not going to bank on their bats coming alive against one of the better young lefties in the game like Joey Lucchesi.
Luchessi's home/road splits are quite shocking but it shouldn’t be that surprising considering the pitcher-friendly confines of Petco Park. If you want to take the Cardinals, be my guest but nothing statistically should predict that the Cards take this one.
