Commanders vs Bears Sportsbook Odds

There has been a small shift in the point spread, with Chicago going from a 1-point home underdog to a 1-point favorite in early wagering. The total has also dropped from 40 down to 38 after both teams continued to struggle offensively last week.

Washington is coming off a 21-17 home loss to the Tennessee Titans and averages just 18 points per game while the hosts have been even worse overall at 17.3 points per game, though that number is 21 in two games at home.

Wentz’s Late Interception Prevents Washington From Ending Skid

The Commanders looked like they were going to break their three-game losing streak last Sunday after a back-and-forth affair against Tennessee that saw them go ahead by three points on two different occasions.

Unfortunately for them and their home fans, quarterback Carson Wentz prevented them from winning by throwing a late interception at the Titans’ two-yard line with 13 seconds remaining.

Wentz had put together a pretty good performance otherwise, throwing for 359 yards and two touchdowns, with both going to rookie third-round draft pick Dyami Brown.

Washington has shown glimpses of what it can do on offense recently but has failed to generate more than 17 points since Week 2.

Chicago Rallies But Cannot Pull Off Upset Victory at Minnesota

Give the Bears credit for battling back from a 21-3 deficit to take a lead over the Minnesota Vikings in the fourth quarter on the road. But they simply left too much time on the clock for the home team, which seemingly fell asleep after the intermission before scoring the game-winning touchdown with 2:26 remaining.

Chicago was close to picking up its first road win but not close enough. Still, the Bears are gaining more confidence on the offensive side of the ball and should be ready to showcase quarterback Justin Fields in prime time.

The second-year signal-caller has thrown for progressively more yards in each of the past four games, and the ability of Fields to make plays may be the difference.

Commanders: Keys To Victory

Washington should have won last week but did not obviously, with Wentz going from hero to goat on the game-deciding pick at the end. Wentz has thrown an interception in four of the first five games, including two in the Commanders’ season-Sportsbook win over the Jacksonville Jaguars. If Wentz can avoid turning the ball over, they can win this one.

Bears: Keys To Victory

Fields threw a touchdown pass last Sunday for the first time since Week 1, so that is definitely a step in the right direction. He will probably need to throw at least a couple, though, like he did against the San Francisco 49ers in the season opener. If he can do that, Chicago will have an excellent chance to earn its third victory of the year at home.
