c: connor bedard vs colorado

Last year's first overall pick, Bedard was taking the NHL by storm before a fractured jaw would sideline him for 14 games. He’s back now and fresher than ever. In the six games, the 18-year-old has a solid seven points. With Chicago in a rebuild and the Blackhawks struggling, Bedard will get every opportunity to produce and develop.

On the year, Bedard has 40 points in 45 games which puts him on pace for 61 points in 68 games. In his six games back from injury, he has averaged 13.3 fantasy points.

C: ross colton vs chicago

Colton has been a major pick-up for the Avs this season. The 27-year-old leaves it all on the ice every night blocking shots, laying big hits and hounding the puck on the forecheck. Colton has been in an elevated role this season in Colorado, spending most of the year as the second line.

On the year, Colton is on pace for a career-high 42 points and at $3,500 he is great to budget your line and keep you under the cap. In return, he will net you around seven fantasy points per game.

W: patrick kane vs new york islanders

Looking like his old self, Kane has been flying and helping the Red Wings string together some wins to aid their playoff push. The mid-season signing playing on Detroit's first line alongside ex-Blackhawks teammate Debrincat and captain Larkin. The line has sparked instant chemistry.

Kane is currently riding a nine-game point streak, pocketing 14 points in that span, and is on pace for 55 points in 51 games. Kane will set you back $6,400 but will reward you with around 12.5 fantasy points per game. On his nine game point-streak, Kane has averaged 13.7 fantasy points.

W: gabriel vilardi vs dallas

A revelation for the Jets this season, Vilardi has been a nice surprise. As one of the return pieces in the Pierre-Luc Dubois trade, the 24-year-old has flourished under his new role and opportunity in Winnipeg. Vilardi is on pace for a career-high 50 points in 62 games.

Skating on the Jets first-line, alongside stars Kyle Connor and Mark Scheifele, Vilardi has been given major opportunity to show what he’s capable of and he’s taken advantage of that. The Canadian is also riding hot right now with 10 points in his last six outings. Vilardi is a good deal ringing up at $5,400. In his last six games, he has averaged a whopping 18.3 fantasy points.

W: mats zuccarello vs nashville

With 10 points in his last five games, Zuccarello has been dancing on the ice. With 50 points in 50 games, Zuccarello is on pace for his second best offensive output in a season with 73 points.

The smooth winger is on the Wild’s first powerplay unit, snapping it around with stars Kirill Kaprizov and Joel Eriksson Ek. The 36-year-old has averaged 17.2 fantasy points in his last five meetings.

d: erik karlsson vs seattle

After his ridiculous 101-point season last year, Karlsson has had a rather lacklustre year with the Penguins. But the 33-year-old has found some good form lately trying to help Pittsburgh with a playoff surge. Karlsson currently has 43 points on the year, putting him on pace for 63.

Karlsson is currently on a five game point streak collecting six points in those appearances. In his last five games, he has averaged 13.7 fantasy points.

D: brandon montour vs montreal

Coming off an overlooked 73 point season and leading his Panthers to the Stanley Cup Final, Montour was a monster last season. With 10 points in his last five games, Montour has officially seemed to recover from his injury at the start of the year.

Montour is patrolling the blue line on the Panthers second d-pairing with Niko Mikkola and also quarterbacks the Panthers' first powerplay unit that capitalizes on 25.51PP% of chances (ranked fifth). The Canadian has elevated his game by averaging 20.1 fantasy points in his last five appearances.

G: alex lyon vs new york islanders

Lyon is currently rocking a 18-8-2 record on the year with a 2.69GAA and .914SV% while also clasping onto two shutouts. Noble numbers for a netminder who has almost spent his whole career in the minors. The 31-year-old is one of the cheaper goalies you’ll find at only $7,900 against the cap and will reward you with an above-average 15 fantasy points per game.

UTIL: jack roslovic vs carolina

Playing in a more elevated role, Roslovic is currently skating on the teams first line with Boone Jenner and Johnny Gaudreau. With seven points in his last 10 games, the 27-year-old also isn't afraid to block shots and get in the dirty areas.

You always need a cap-cruncher to keep your daily fantasy lineup in order without sacrificing fantasy points. Coming in at $3,700, Roslovic has averaged 12.6 fantasy points in his last seven outings.
