Zach Hyman's Edmonton Oilers featured in our NHL shots on goal picks and odds

Shots On Goal Props Tonight: Hyman Is All Over The Net

The NHL has an abundance of player and game props to get your hands on. A popular, rather simple option is shots on goal. We don't need the pucks to go in (though that's a nice bonus), we just need them to wind up their stick and hit the net.

NHL Prop #1 - Zach Hyman OVER 3.5 Shots (-115)

NHL Prop #2 - Chris Kreider OVER 3.5 Shots (-105)

NHL Prop #3 - Yegor Chinakhov UNDER 2.5 Shots (-150)

NHL shots on goal odds: February 28

Who likes to shoot right now? With all the NHL matchups tonight, here are the guys we're leaning on to go OVER or UNDER their shots on goal prop.

zach hyman OVER 3.5 Shots (-115)

With McDavid taking a break from scoring, pocketing 10 assists in his last five instead, others have gotten on the board. The Edmonton captain has been dishing out the puck to his linemates, with Hyman scoring at least once in his last five games.

McDavid is setting him up for prime chances. The 31-year-old has sniped 20 shots in his last five games, including an eight-shot effort against in the Battle Of Alberta against Calgary.

The Blues defense isn't impossible to beat. In fact, St. Louis gives up the second-most 6.86 SA/GP to left wingers -- exactly where Hyman is placed on the first powerplay unit.

Chris Kreider OVER 3.5 Shots (-105)

Kreider was the all over the net when the Rangers played the Blue Jackets in Columbus a couple of nights ago by recording six shots. But, he wasn't able to get on the board.

Perhaps its the fact that Columbus allows 33.4 shot attempts per game, the third-highest in the league. The 32-year-old played nearly 24 minutes in the last meeting and New York will rely on him again to hopefully get the job done this time.

Yegor Chinakhov UNDER 2.5 Shots (-150)

Chinakov wasn't in the gameplan during the 4-2 win over the Rangers recently. The 23-year-old edged just a single shot and an assist. Chances are, he won't be throwing too many pucks at the net tonight either.

Columbus won't be able to rely on top-point scorers like Zach Werenski, either. The Rangers are greedy and don't give much room to defensemen, allowing just 7.37 SA/GP to the position, the fourth-fewest in the NHL.
